Monday nights
Where we meet, pray and tell the truth.
For men 18 and over. We’re exploring options for younger men, so ask us on a Monday night.
What happens
We meet every Monday night at Gateway. Men sit in a circle so everyone can see each other and everyone gets a turn.
Each man shares honestly what’s going on: the wins, the struggles, the stuff he hasn’t told anyone. Then we pray for each other, and keep each other to what we said we’d do.
It isn’t a lecture or a performance, and nobody’s going to fix you. It’s men being straight with each other and with God.
Your first night
Walking into a room of blokes you don’t know is hard. Here’s what to expect.
- Someone will say g’day at the door and introduce you around.
- You’ll sit in the circle. Share as much or as little as you like. “I’m just here to listen tonight” is fine.
- What’s said in the room stays in the room.
- You can leave at the end without signing anything or being chased up.
How we treat each other
Confidential
What’s shared stays here, except where someone’s safety is at risk. Love protects.
Honest
Say it straight. No performing.
Listen first
Hear a man out before you offer advice.
Show up
Being there week after week is what builds trust.
Growing without losing the circle
We’re about twelve men now and growing. To keep it honest, we start together and pray as one group, then break into smaller circles around the church so every man still has room to be heard. As more men come, we’ll keep reshaping it. The circle matters more than the structure.
On the horizon
We’re looking at a Friday morning breakfast (7:00 to 8:30am) for men who run businesses, and visits to other men’s groups. Nothing’s locked in yet. Ask us on a Monday if you’re keen.
See you Monday.
Not sure yet? Send a message and one of us will meet you at the door.
